Where do these AEDs & pads come from?
We work with multiple clients across the U.S. to source and secure truckloads of AEDs that have been recycled or discarded for a variety of reasons. Within those containers, we will also receive AED carrying cases and short-dated AED pads that are NEW & UNUSED - but don’t meet industry-related expiration requirements. Many hospital chains require 4 years remaining on the AED pads and must recycle them when they fall under that date.
What are Short-Dated Expiration Categories?
All unexpired pads will be classified by year followed by the letter “A” or “B”. Letter A represents the first 6 months of the year and letter B represents the last 6 months of the year.
A: January, February, March, April, May & June
B: July, August, September, October, November & December.
